The qualification procedure is a two-stage process.

Stage 1.
Candidates take a written test covering basic knowledge in the field of management and economics in accordance with the published list of topics. The exam is conducted in English.

The maximum amount of points available to obtain in the written test is 50.

Minimum number of points required to be qualified: 25

Stage 2.
Candidates who pass the test take an interview conducted in English, which is to verify the candidates' communication skills (appropriate vocabulary and effective interaction), as well as their ability to think critically and solve problems. The interview concerns the issues the list of which will be announced on the IRK website by the date specified in the recruitment resolution.

The maximum amount of points available to obtain in the interview is 10.

Minimum number of points required to be qualified: 5

Absence from the interview disqualifies the candidate and results in the award of 0 points in the qualification procedure.

The final result of the qualification procedure is the sum of points obtained in the first and second stages.

Checking the Candidates' competences to undertake studies conducted in English language

The language competences of candidates who do not have a document confirming the knowledge of English at the B2 level at least recognized by the University of Warsaw are checked by an online test.

The maximum number of points to be obtained in the online test is 20.

Minimum number of points required to be qualified is 10.

Language test points are not included in the candidate's final result. Confirmation of the candidate's competences to study in English is a condition for admission to further stages of the admission procedure.

Deadline for the online test checking the knowledge of English language (if it applies to the candidate): 12th of July, 2023.

Deadlines

Required documents:

• the higher education diploma (MA, BA, engineer diploma or equivalent) and transcript of grades obtained during the course of study, entitling to continue university-level study in country in which the diploma was issued, in English or with translation into English,
• a personal questionnaire, which includes candidate’s photo, printed out from candidate’s individual registration account in the IRK system and signed by the candidate (available at the candidate’s individual registration account in section "Enrollment applications” under the chosen field of study accessible through the link “Documents and further steps”),
• an application for issuing electronic student’s id (ELS), which includes candidate’s photo, printed out from candidate’s individual registration account in the IRK system and signed by the candidate – in case of candidates not holding ELS from University of Warsaw (available at the candidate’s individual registration account in section “Enrollment applications” under the chosen field of study accessible through the link “Documents and further steps”),
• a proof of student’s id (ELS) payment: 22 PLN;

• statement on becoming acquainted with the amount of fees for educational services at the University of Warsaw (available at the candidate’s individual registration account in section “Enrollment applications” under the chosen field of study accessible through the link “Documents and further steps”),
• From candidates holding a diploma issued abroad, in addition: a legalisation (authorisation) or apostille (if the document was issued by an institution operating in the educational system in a country that is a party to the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, concluded in The Hague, 5 October 1961) of the original of the higher education diploma and transcript of grades [read more],
• From candidates holding a diploma issued abroad, in addition: a document stating that the diploma entitles to undertake or continue university-level study in country in which the diploma was issued (such proof should be issued or certified by the school or educational institution which issued the diploma or by educational authorities of the country which issued the diploma or in which system of education the school operates) with translation into English (a sample form),
• accepted by the University of Warsaw document confirming proficiency in English language (at least B2 level) (A list of documents certifying the knowledge of English, accepted in the process of recruitment),
• payment declaration,
• a proof of application fee payment – in case of the need for confirmation of making the payment,
• a photocopy of visa or other document proving legalisation of stay in Poland,
• authorization to submission of documents – in case of submission of candidate’s documents by the other person (a sample form – two pages).
