We invite you to contest of best bachelor and master thesis on the theme of leadership and governance in the V4 countries according to the Project ID #/Title: 22120103, Comparing Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic: Alternative Leadership Styles in the V4. There's a predicted award for winners - 500 EUR.
Award of 500 EUR for the best BA thesis and an award of 500 EUR for the best MA thesis on the theme of leadership and governance in the V4 countries.
Students from University of Warsaw and partner universities who had defended a thesis between September 22, 2021 and end of February, 2023, can submit the thesis for competition.
The selection will take place online in March 2023 by all members of the project team, the chair of the selection committee will be George Hays II (representing a leader Anglo-American University in Prague, CZ). The winner in each category will be announced by March 15, 2023. The main goal is to stimulate students ‘interest in leadership and governance from the perspectives of various disciplines and in various contexts, increase their interest in public policy and in the issues of politics and society in V4 countries, promote civic responsibility and to appreciate students who have shown exceptional research success and innovative thinking in their BA and MA theses, and who could be leaders in the future.
The Polish partners of the project are Izabella Łęcka ([email protected]) and Tomasz Ochinowski ([email protected]) from the Faculty of Management, to whom we encourage you to send your works for the competition.
Papers in English are preferred, but excellent papers in Polish (with an extensive English-language summary) are also acceptable.

we kindly inform you that as part of the cooperation between the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw and Santander Bank Polska, a special scholarship programme has been created for FoM students. UW employees and doctoral candidates can undergo free of charge COVID-19 RT-PCR tests. Taking swabs will begin on 26th October and last until 20th November. Employees and doctoral candidates have an opportunity to sign up for COVID-19 RT-PCR tests that detect active SARS-COV-2 infection.

The Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw organises five online multicultural meetings on the Polish culture, covering interesting facts regarding music, movies, celebrations and customs. To participate, one is requested to register by 19th October.
